Next: Typodermic & Japan
I should have posted an update sooner as it's been over a week since the disaster. Me, Chikako and her family are safe here. Nagoya is far from the affected areas and there was no earthquake or tsunami damage here. The whole country is in crisis or mourning but on the surface it's the same Nagoya I love. I've received hundreds of well wishes thru email, facebook & twitter. Some people have suggested that I return to Canada but that's not going to happen. Japan is my home sweet home. We've lost so much here but I'm sticking around for Japan 2.0 . . . or whatever version we're on now. I don't need to tell you where to donate but there's something else you can do. Please stop spreading fear about radiation if you don't know what you're talking about. If you think all radiation is dangerous or you don't know about the different types, ease off on the retweet button and go learn something. Otherwise you'd better stay away from bananas because they're radioactive. History has proven that there's no limit to humanity's lack of perspective about radiation - both the safety and dangers of it. Japan has enough problems right now without irrational fear disrupting the food supply.
